We are very excited to be an on-going partner with Rick and Shannon while God uses them to minister at Kent State University with a ministry entitled:

"The Dive" ....

dive in, take a risk and explore God with us!!

Their call to work directly with College students came years ago, soon after graduation from Denison University here in Granville, Ohio. And as expected, what "a call" it has been!

From the very beginning on campus, their lives have been filled with interactive relationships, l-o-n-g exhausting hours and little time to refresh. But, with complete trust in the sovereignty of God and His faithful presence throughout..... it has been a journey never to be doubted, never to be missed and never to be forgotten!!

Rick and Shannon covet your earnest and sincere prayers on their behalf. They know "you have not because you ask not" and "whatever you ask in My name that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." {John 14:13}

Therefore, please lift up these praises and concerns:

1. Praising God for His faithful provision of students open to the truth of His Word and the victorious healing He can provide!!

2. Asking for wisdom as we follow His spirit in ministering to the broken and hurting population here at Kent State.

3. Asking that He continue to be our joy, sufficiency and security. Knowing we are most satisfied in life when He is most glorified through us!!

4. Seeking to be fully funded by years end. :)

1. Faithful in labors of love on campus.

2. That we may expect God to amaze us daily!!

3. God to encourage, strength and lead the Dive ministry on Campus.

4. For Rick as god uses him to teach His word each Thursday.

5. Rick to lead several weddings in the near future.

6. fall Retreat is Sept.. 29-31 - connection and decisions.

7. For outreach into Frat. and Sor. houses. Esp. the two new Bible Studies within them!!

1. Please pray for the student body at KSU as they view and discuss the film The DiVinci Code over the next several months. For from it we seek them to be drawn to the real truth in Christ Jesus Himself!!! That god will use it to open up great spiritual discussions.

1. 30 students from CCC Ministry at Kent State will travel to Mississippi to support Hurricane relief from March 25-April 1. That they may see Christ's leading to influence fellow KSU students for Christ as they work together. Safety in travel, that they may represent the lord well in actions, words and motives of purity. The harvest is plentiful!!

1. That lasting fruit be born from the 75 salvation decisions made at this month's Andre Kole gathering.

2. That we'd have wisdom and spiritual insight as we encounter those here searching for God.

3. That God may speak to each student at Kent State whom is dealing with family, academic or health issues/setbacks....that in Christ all things may become clear and God-fearing.

4. That Rick and Shannon may become more and more Christ-like in their dealings with hurting and spiritually open students...responding to their needs with wisdom, insight and compassion as He did!!

1. Rick leads small group of other CCC Staffers. Asking God for unity, humility and love towards one-another.

2. Pray that God would multiply our time in preparing for students arrival....accomplishing the truly important things.

3. that in the midst of all the business we love people not things...serving others sacrificially.

4. Pray that new students hearts will be open to the gospel and accepting His love and life into their own lives!!

1. For students engaged ion leading LifeGroups - asking for spiritual wisdom and dependence on the spirit in our lives.

2. For spiritual maturity in the loves of those Greeks who already know Christ but have not grown in Him as they should.

3. For creativity and insight as we attempt to reach out to the Greek population.

4. For intentional, God inspired conversations about Christ with students on campus.

5. For spiritual hunger in the lives of the student populations.

6. For the salvation of Ashley, Jenna and Megan with whom Shannon is sharing and loving.

A. For Rick as he undertakes Seminary Studies.

B. That God may continue to grow us and cause us to rely on him daily.

C. Praise God for His forever faithfulness as He leads us here at Kent.

D. That our staff and students will be others centered.

E. That the Freshman, whom are bombarded with choices this fall will chose Christ first!!

F. For our first weekly meeting, Sept. 2nd.

G. For our ongoing discipleship of returning students in this busy, yet critical time of year.

H. That through it all, God will draw students to Himself!!

A. Praise God that 16 students have decided to follow Him in Summer Ministry Projects!!

B. Anticipating more changes to our staff team this fall. Pray that God would supply the laborers needed to continue the work He has begun at Kent State. The ministry is growing faster than we can keep up with.

1. Thank God for my greatly improved health!! For over a year now, Rick has been battling Mononucleosis. He says "I feel like the wind is back in my sails!!".

2. Rick asks for wisdom to pace himself, not go off too quickly and learn to understand body signals more, so the illness does not return.

3. Thank God for His tremendous outpouring of financial and spiritual encouragement. Upon soliciting a letter of appeal, some $18,000+ dollars were raised to cover backdated needs totally some..... are you ready......$18,000!

4. Pray that our on-going financial situation will be under His complete control. We are asking Him that He lead us in locating new monthly partners.

5. Pray that as students return this fall, the Gospel may be disclosed to them clearly, effectively and boldly so that they may drawn to Him as personal Lord and Savior and decide to join Him in His work to redeem the world for His own Glory and Praise !!

Thanks again for joining us in reaching students with the hope and purpose of Christ.
